Cellenis® Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a proprietary PRP technology based on blood separation according to density using a unique proprietary separation gel.

The system allows for the preparation of pure PRP with optimal platelet concentrations and cellular content. Virtually, all Red Blood Cells are eliminated from PRP fraction and the concentration of pro-inflammatory Granulocytes having undesired components is highly reduced. Over the days and weeks following the Cellenis® PRP treatment, growth factors released by the platelets stimulate the growth of new blood vessels and more collagen growth, thickening the epidermis and providing an improvement in the skin’s texture and tone.

PRE TREATMENT:
  • To prepare for your PRP treatment, avoid using hair products such as gel or hairspray for 3 days prior to your appointment.
  • Do not use tobacco, alcohol or caffeine at least two days before your procedure. These substances decrease your body’s ability to heal and may affect your results.
DURING TREATMENT:

  • PRP therapy for hair loss is a three-step process.
    • First, your medical provider will draw a vial of blood and place it in a centrifuge. The centrifuge separates the platelet-rich plasma from other components found in your blood.
    • While that’s happening, your provider will apply a local anesthetic to prevent any discomfort. Then, they’ll inject small amounts of the platelet-rich plasma in a pattern across your scalp, evenly distributing the PRP.
POST TREATMENT:
  • Immediately after the procedure, small bumps will appear at the injection sites and small amounts of blood and plasma may be seen. The bleeding and swelling will subside within a few hours.
  • To ease discomfort after your procedure, an ice compress can be applied to the affected areas of the scalp.
Hair restoration treatment requires little downtime; you can immediately return to most activities. However, you should avoid:

  • Touching or washing the scalp for at least 24 hours
  • Sun or heat exposure and strenuous activities for 2 days
  • Alcohol, caffeine and cigarettes for at least 3 days
  • Saunas, pools and hot tubs for 3–4 days
The healing process takes approximately 3–4 weeks. Results appear 3–6 months after your treatment, as the inactive hair follicles need time to react to the growth factors.
  • Vampire Facial (Microneedling with PRP)
    • Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure wherein a device (SkinPen) rolls tiny needles over the skin to create microscopic channels, otherwise known as micro-injuries. This triggers the body’s natural healing response, which restores the skin’s appearance and fights the visible signs of aging. At Modern Aesthetics, we can enhance the standard microneedling process by integrating PRP, a substance isolated from your own blood, which is rich in collagen growth factors that actively promote cellular repair.
In the course of a PRP microneedling treatment at Modern Aesthetics, an expert technician will take a small sample of blood. The blood sample is then purified and separated to isolate the PRP. Once separated, the PRP is reintroduced to your skin during the microneedling process, permeating through the tiny channels created by the treatment to reach the deepest layers of the skin. From there, the PRP acts as a catalyst to boost natural production of collagen and elastin — important proteins which tend to break down and diminish as we age.
  • Hair Restoration
    • PRP hair restoration is a hair loss treatment that utilizes platelets, a major component of your blood, to stimulate hair growth. Platelets are blood cells that play a crucial role in the body’s natural healing process by releasing GROWTH FACTORS, stem cells and proteins that promote hair follicle health.
A small amount of blood is taken and processed to concentrate the platelets. The concentrated platelets are then injected into the scalp at the site of hair loss or thinning. PRP injections for hair loss typically involve multiple sessions over a period of six months.
